One Year
It is hard for me to believe that it was a whole year ago when I started working on my game demo the day after leaving that horrid job I had. What I am up against this time, however, is much harder. I am not unhappy about my job this time. In fact, I have to say that I am happier than I have ever been in my life. Absolutely. All the things that I have experienced and learned this year have definitely paid off. But I still have not made a game! Without the luxury of being unemployed, however, progress on this new project of mine will be very slow. A full time job and the responsibilities of a father of two young children do not leave you with heaps of spare time. Still, it is something I must do. I have been studying the UDK, a professional game engine that was recently made available to poor shmucks like me who could never afford to pay thousands dollars just to play with it. And my little daughter has given me an idea for a game. She is very much into aliens and outer space right now, so it will be a simple little game for children with tons of aliens. I am calling it Alien Party for the moment. And that is really all I have right now. Here we go again... Wish me luck!
I was starting to wonder when we'd hear from you again. Glad everything's going well, and good luck on the new game!
ReplyDeleteSo did I. It is good to know about you.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. It doesn't seem I can find even a little moment to even reply to your comments. I don't know how I got to be this busy. Man...
